Sunday-Snow

  • Another good day here in Michigan. Trying to snow here.
Seems that everyone for the most is out and about. I've got a few minutes till I gazelle it, so thought I would stop by. We are going to breakfast also. We had a good time yesterday. We found the camper trailer that we wanted. But our truck won't pull it. So we are going to work on getting a new truck, and then the camper. After we find out about me. Didn't make my tarts yet, gotta find the recipe.
CoCo-did you get you bike fixed? and how is your dog doing? I've been reading about everything, and keep forgetting to ask. Sounds like you all have had a time. I've seen those cone things around dogs heads before, and they don't like them. But I don't think that I would either. Hopefully now with the stitches he can heal better, and hopefully everything else will be find.
Eleni- hi. I've seen those vest before, and they are awesome. Gonna take some work putting on those charms. Our srd isn't until the middle of May.
Nita-hope all is well, Summer-hope the computer is working well now, Christian-hope yours is on it's way. Mary Ann- hope you are having a good week, Penny-How is it going, Sherri-ARE YOU OK?
And to the ladies I've missed. We can do this.
    CC-How was everything.
Talk to you all later, have a fun day.
  • Hi all,

Yes wendy I am fine (now).LOL Today is the first day all weekend I have been online. I have been very busy the last week. So I haven't been here much.
I worked on friday then we went out with another couple had a great time but ended up with a very servere asthma attack by the time I got home at 2am. I think I am allergic to liquor. It is not the first time it has happened. I also happened last summer when we had a cookout here and I drank hooch all day long. So I know it wasn't just the smoke in the bar. But I got up and sang for the karyoke 3 times or so. It was a blast. But I had to take 2 breathing treatments yesterday morning when I got home. Then I worked for 5 hours yesterday which I shouldn't have but did. Then went to a cookout/birthday party. In which I stayed on plan all day. I brought my own huge tossed salad with no egg in it. Had 1 hamb no bun and 1/2 cup of baked beans. No Cake and NO ice cream. Then I went to the clinic. I have a sinus infection so I am taking antibiotic for that and I have to take my breathing treatments 1-2 times a day for the next 3 days. Plus I am on predisone for the next 4 days also. So I hope I don't have a gain because of it. I am drinking the green tea throughout the day and it seems like it is curbing my appetite. Usually I get soooo hungry when I take it. But I don't have a choice. And it is only for 4 days instead of 10 this time. The last time I went on predisone I got so hungry I went off plan and stayed that way for 9 months. It won't happen this time for sure.
I have stayed on plan all weekend and I am doing great. I was supposed to to the upper body strenth training yesterday but couldn't my chest hurt too bad. I did my cardio (30 min walk 1 1/2 miles today and I will do the upper body later to make up for yesterday. But I did stick to my eating plan and even came up under my min point range. So that was great. I am going to be within my point range today on the low end of course.LOL
    Wendy,
Sounds like you are doing great. I hope you will find a truck soon so you can get your camper.

    Coco,

Did you get your bike fixed yet? I hope so. Keep up the great work. I know what you mean about the funnel. Our old dog had one when he broke his leg and needed a pin put in. They really hate them and they look funny but they are great so that they can't get to the incision. I hope the pup is doing well. The antibiotic should help.
Are you still writing everything down? I hope so then you stay on track great. Did you have a great weekend on plan?
Keep up the great work you will have a loss this week for sure.

    Eleni,

That is a great idea to have a vest made for your charms. Where did you get that idea? Did you have a great on plan weekend? Did you exercise all weekend? I am sure you did great. You have been doing excellent lately. That is what it takes. You will do fine this week with a loss. Keep up the great attitude and the determination that gives you the motivation you need to keep going. You must be feeling much better with all the exercise you are doing.

    CC,

How did your speech go? I am dying to hear all about it like the rest of us. I am sure you had a great weekend. Don't stay away too long we want to hear all about it.

I have to go exercise. I walked for 1 1/2 miles today now I have to do the strength training that I should have done yesterday. I can do it tonight.

    Have a great night everyone.

  • Well, I am back from PRD and I had a very good time. Carol and Olga showed up (7 hour drive for them, are they buds or what?)and meshed quite well with my TOPS pals.

    News flash- I did not faint while giving my speech and everyone was SO kind to me. I opened by saying "Wow, there are so many of you!" Everybody laughed, and it was the coolest thing, From that point on I was fine, I felt like everyone in that huge room was on my side, rooting for me.I didn't talk too fast, and at several points I had to wait for the laughing to die down to continue, then many people cried, and then I got a standing ovation, it started with the graduating KOPS and extended to the whole room. While I will never enjoy being in front of a crowd I must say that was not the horrible experience I thought it would be and boy did I feel some {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{vibes!}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Carol videotaped it but parts of it can't be heard very well because she started crying, which got my whole chapter crying.

A cute aside, we stopped on the way home for dinner and as I was waiting to pay my bill a woman approached me and said "I loved your speech, it was really well done"
Verna said "See, it isn't just because we are predjudiced!"

I finally saw the circle of light and it was very moving,
OK, this is my YEAR TO BECOME A KOPS! I will join that circle! The only time I cried was when Sharon gave me her yellow rose and just like Recognition Night, my eyes got all watery, thankfully Verna started cracking jokes and I didn't lose control.

Our area captain says I stand a very good chance of being Provincial Queen next year so keep your fingers crossed ladies, I just may make the magazine!

Well, I am pooped, so I am hitting the hay!

    Good Night everyone!
  • Way to go, CC. I knew that you could do it.
