What are we Eating 10/28-11-2

  • Breakfast:
    Cheese stick
    Min quiche and mini banana oat muffin

    Lunch
    Leftover beef stew and fin crisps

    Dinner turkey black and red bean chili
  • i'm eating COOKIES. so i guess that doesn't count.

    wait - let's be honest here ONE COOKY. see what i'm obsessing about?????/
  • Oh Yesterday.......ouch!
    Monday started out so well but ended up as a taste-test frenzy. It was horrible and I almost felt sick from all the little tidbits I tried yesterday. I did make a good spicy lentil soup yesterday, but the darn GKs ate it all so no leftovers!! LOL! Spent all night writing a letter to the insurance company about why my abdominalplasty would be a medical necessity.

    Tuesday Oct 28 th. Today is another day
    6:00 a.m. 3/4 c. Special K. Protein Plus with 1/2 c. milk
    10:00 a.m. Mattrix Hot Chocolate Protein Drink with dry powdered milk and 1 TBSP of SF nesquik. one Splenda Blend Chocolate chip cookie
    Lunch: Plan on having pinto beans and cheese
    Supper: Searchlight Meatloaf and scalloped cabbage in the works

    I've already got a High Protein Cornell loaf of bread in the proofer, grandkids out the door for school, and need to do something with my skin. I've got the dullest winter skin already and need to spruce myself up. Even my grown kids said I need some "color". Of course I'm freezing and have on an undershirt, a thermal shirt, sweat shirt and a long, long sweater. We had a lot of icing last night and couldn't get the doors open on my car. I'm not ready for winter!!! I've got the "3 Fat Chicks" book and would like sometime to peruse it, but we'll have to see how busy it gets when GD gets out of preschool.

  • Last Night was a wash I had planned to have time to eat before my friends showed up but DH was stuck at work So I had to get myself home and clean. I grabbed a muffin from the fridge and then the rest of the gastronomic night is a blur
    but Junk looms in my memory

    Today started snacky but I'm getting control
    4 wine gums
    2 fin crisps
    actual breakfast
    2 banana oat muffins with coffee
    mid am snack mini quiche
    Lunch Cuban Black bean soup

    Dinner (finally) turkey chili
  • Ok, what I'm eating today....I haven't been eating tremedous amounts but I have not been writing it down either...so I'm most likely eating more then I am thinking.

    So,

    breakfast.....banana, T of PB and coffee

    Lunch....baked Taragon chicken with mushrooms, a small potato, carrots and onions

    Dinner...chicken Dumpling Soup made with left over Taragon chicken...two dumplings made my mothers way is only 12 carbs...and I'm cold! Soup sounds fabulous!

    snack...6 saltine crackers with PB and Plum jelly
  • Had orientation yesterday and....

    6:00 pumpkin oats and yogurt

    14:00 chinese buffet - waited to long to eat and was half sick and fuzzy

    Snack: Cookie Dough Protein bar

    Supper: took a couple of bites chicken and of course the cussed stuff got hung up! Had to drink Diet Lipton Citrus Green Tea the rest of the night.

    Today: Pumpkin Steel Cut Oats and yogurt
    Lunch: Chicken thigh with apples
    Snack: Chicken leg and of course the cussed stuff hung up again. Tried to force it down with water and YAKKED!!! I love/hate chicken!!!!
    Supper: Oven roasted Buttermilk-Hot Sauce Chicken with cole slaw. I have a loaf of Hawaiian Bread cooling on the counter and just found out the GKS won't be here so guess the neighbor is having homemade bread tonight. It is sinful bread. All white with six tbsp of sugar. Looks pretty though!

    Trying this new recipe for pumpkin spiced tea:

    4 tsp ground cinnamon
    2 tsp ground ginger
    2 tsp ground nutmeg
    1 tsp cloves
    opt: 1 tsp allspice
    1 c. non-dairy lite creamer
    Mix well. Don't know how much you have to use at one time. Will let you know the outcome.
  • This Whole Week has been failing to plan = planning to fail
    So tomorrow is a new day and I'm going to focus on 2 very important components I've been messing up with
    1. Protein
    2 Water
    3. Vities
    ( you know those things we need to survive!)
    I'm going to KISS and focus on those for a week then add extra veggies then worry about the othr stuff!

    Would you all be cool with me tracking my exercise too? I need some extra Impetus!

    1 cup of Turkey and Black bean chili
    Coffee with 2 tbsp on NF dry milk and a hazelnut splenda

    Lunch/snack (i'll be running around)
    2 Mini quiches
    cheese stick

    Dinner
    Turkey sausage and white bean stew ( I just need to pick up some bonus veggies but its mainly 2 28 oz cans of Italian (style) tomatoes onions garlic (maybe celery) asst spices and 2 cans of cannelinis (which may be increased)
    I might get a few cans of italian style Zuch too
