Hi there! I'm Emily and well, I'm a fatty.

I've tried to lose weight a number of times and it was unsucessful. I really had no motivation and still kind of don't... I have no self confidence.

Recently I was woken up on a trip to Florida (my first) When a lady at a restraunt asked me when my baby was due... yeah, that crushed me to no end. I nearly broke down into tears when I told her I wasn't expecting.

So here I am, trying to find the strength to get rid of this pot belly and be happy and healthy!

Oh, how humiliating!! The same thing happened to me some time ago. And you know, I felt BAD for her and tried to brush it over. If it is the impetus for you to move forward, thank her for it! I visited my sister in Florida a month ago and would have had such a better time if I would have weighed less. I'm going to reward myself with a return trip next summer when I weigh less! Let us know your progress!

HI and welcome to 3FC. i know exactly how you feel. I actually had a lady argue with me once when i told her i wasnt pg. She said, ohh, its ok. you dont have to deny it. I was so mad. Her bf was my DH's coworker and he came in to work the next day apologizing to DH for it, but I wasnt mad at him for having an ignorant gf. but i am so use to that happening, unfortunately i carry a lot of my weight in my tummy. My mom and i both get mad when we see plus size women and they still have rather flat stomachs, just doesnt seem fair. but we finally both made the decision to change that and get healthy. so heres to all of us getting healthy and hopefully skinnier along the way...no more baby bellys unless theres a baby in there. good luck. hope to see you around.
