Sacrifices

  • what food do you sacrifice so you can eat others?....

today I sacrificed my apple sponge pudding at lunch time....
so that I could eat a home made fruit cake at tea time....
sooooo glad I did it, these home made fruit cakes are amazing....
im suprised I managed to stop at one, but i did!....
  • I eat smaller portions at my meals so that I can have a snack!
  • I don't really sacrifice - it's more that I only allow myself a limited amount of snacks. "OK, tonight you have a party, you're going for either the beer or the chocolate, and whichever you choose, you can only take a certain amount of it." Like that.
  • uhm...i usually don't sacrifice anything... i'm greedy. I'll just eat two of them.
But i don't eat 1 normal portion as i often eat, but smaller portion.
  • On weekends, I sometimes sacrifice food for alcohol... Gee, that kinda makes me sound like an alcoholic. Anyway, if I'm having sweets, I won't have alcohol and vice versa.
  • I used to cutt down my breakfast just so i can have some chocolate after.. but realized that was a HUGE mistake since breakfast is important , So i just had a very light lunch and have my piece of dark chocolate
  • im sacrificing cakes for the scale reading this week....
every day except for Friday when i shall allow myself 2 as a reward!....
  • It doesn't really sound like you sacrificed anything, you just traded one treat for a different one.

I sacrifice junk and eating until I'm stuffed, so I can have yummy food (nuts! avocado!), and really good dessert when I have it.
  • what are the best nuts to eat?
  • Quote: what are the best nuts to eat?
A variety! Each has different strengths. Same as with veggies and fruits.
  • They say almonds are the healthiest because of their heart health qualities among other things. I've seen them touted as one of the top 10 foods you should eat...
  • I don't "sacrifice," I make adjustments accordingly. If I know I'm going out to dinner, I'll eat a lot lighter during the day, so that I can have some more room with dinner to actually order what I want, instead of being really strict and feeling like "NO! I CAN'T have that." That way, I feel a lot less guilty and I know that I made smart choices all day. That's how I know I've definitely learned something on this journey..I never would have thought about that stuff before and just ate what I wanted all day long. No more!
  • I'm really lucky that I don't like chocolate or sweets. I never even thought about eating sweets until I get on here and realize that the whole women and chocolate thing is not a myth. I gained my weight by just eating too much of bad food, so thats what I'm sacrificing I guess, bad food. But I feel 100% better so I guess I was actually sacrificing before, sacrificing feeling good for too much bad food. My bf is a fast food junky and being in school that was just easier.. bad idea.
