We have a couple of older threads on this, but my experience with podcasts is that people stop updating them and things get out of date realllly quickly, so I'm starting a new one.
Do you listen to podcasts about health, nutrition, exercise, or weight loss topics? Which are your favorites?
I listen to Jillian Michaels' radio show regularly. I only wish it was SHORTER...sometimes I can't do a whole hour when I'm listening.
Discovery Health had a 4 part podcast series with Dr. Oz on weight loss - it was fascinating, and had lots of interesting ideas.
I am REALLY liking The Nutrition Diva - one of the podcasts produced by Quick & Dirty Tips. Her information is straightforward, she's a great speaker, and the information is well-researched and balanced.
I also am trying several video podcasts of 25 min yoga routines in the next couple days. I'm hoping to get a favorite or two so I can get a new routine each week.
What are your favorites?
Can you explain what these podcasts are for those of us who are new? Do you have to have an IPOD to do them and what exactly is it? Motivation speaking type stuff?

A podcast is a series of audio or video digital-media files which is distributed over the Internet by syndicated download, through Web feeds, to portable media players and personal computers. Podcasts are radio shows or other audio programs available for download over the Internet.
It has nothing to do with 3FC and it's not just for motivation. A pocast can be about anything.
so, where can you find them?? Which websites?
I get mine through the iTunes store, but thats because its the easiest way to get them on my iPhone.
As for what they are - think of talk radio. You turn on a station, listen to someone talk, right? These are sort of like pre-recorded talk radio that you can load onto your mp3 player and listen to like other songs you might have. They tend to be, but aren't always, shorter than a talk radio show. Different episodes might have different topics (for example, today I listened to two different Nutrition Diva episodes - one on fiber and one on dairy products). Each episode is a different mp3 file you load.
I don't just listen to health and fitness-type podcasts...I also listen to cooking, food science, regular science, and psychology ones.
I'm totally the opposite on Jillian's show, I wish it was longer. Ha. Of course, I listen to it at work when there aren't customers, so I've got the time.
I've started to listen to: The Nutrition Diva, Fat 2 Fit, Logical Weight Loss, NPR: on Health and US News Health in the last week.
