  • Do you guys know if this is Ph 2 friendly? I bought a box of it and so far day 2 I don't have any cravings/snackings which doesn't happen with Any oatmeal! I'm just trying to find a low maintenance breakfast
    Thanks,
    Kier
  • I believe it is still instant rather than Old Fashioned Oats. I use the Old Fashioned and it is only 5 minutes in the microwave.
  • Instant oatmeals are not SB friendly. Also there's a lot of added ingredients in these. Some are vitamins but not all. Better off sticking to the longer cooking varieties. They have a much lower glycemic index and keep you full longer.

WHEY PROTEIN ISOLATE, MALTODEXTRIN, NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL FLAVORS, SALT, OAT FLOUR, CALCIUM CARBONATE, GUAR GUM, CARAMEL COLOR, SOY LECITHIN, ACESULFAME POTASSIUM, SUCRALOSE, NIACINAMIDE*, VITAMIN A PALMITATE, REDUCED IRON, PYRIDOXINE HYDROCHLORIDE*, RIBOFLAVIN*, THIAMIN MONONITRATE*, FOLIC ACID*.
  • Thanks for the input ladies. .. I'm going to finish the box and see how it works with my losing even tho it's not compliant it was $4
  • Just to give you another opinion, I LOVE this stuff. Eat it for breakfast 5-6 days a week.
  • I'm sure it's tasty but are you on South Beach? If so, .
  • Ack, sorry didn't notice this was South Beach (just clicked on it from the front page of 3FC). I'm a simple calorie counter.
Good luck all you South Beachers!
  • I know it isn't SBD compliant, but I eat it a lot. It didn't have any negative effects on my weight loss or cravings and it actually kept me full longer than the old fashioned kind. I don't really like the old fashioned kind unless it is in nessa's bars.
  • KO - Just a thought, Alton Brown has a great recipe for oats that you cook overnight in the crockpot. You could do a batch of that and then add some milk to it before you warm it up. That might be a way to more quickly prepare oatmeal for your morning.
  • I love that ep heather but actually I bought this stuff on a whim and believe it or not I have no cravings at all with it
Normally within 1/2 hour after eating oat meal (any kind) I'm the cookie monster
While it's not 'legal" I'm goign to see how it goes
    You guys are great!
Jersey I'm goign to have to whip up some nessa bars soon!
  • Okay Question I have 100% rolled oats are these SB compliant?

    Menzy
  • I use to eat the weight control when I was counting calories... it's really good and super high in fiber. Even more fiber than whole oats. I've not had any since SB but I do have several boxes I need to use up. I've been saving them for when I have "issues".
  • Quote: Okay Question I have 100% rolled oats are these SB compliant?

    old fashioned yes.

I have them almost every morning.
  • Also, as for keeping you full longer....old fashioned oats with an egg added after they are done cooking is WONDERFUL!

I cannot thank CyndiM enough for the idea!
  • I add a Tbs of nut butter to my oatmeal. Yum yum, and very filling!
