Today I am prepared to do better.....I am just trying to low carb it...so I have my turkey and hamburger all ready

Tonight we are headed back out looking for cars' uhhh...tonight its Subru, hubby seems to like them... I just don't know anymore

Anyhoo, have a wonderful day and enjoy !

  • Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
    Hi Leens and others,

Wake me when it's Friday please. I'd ask for coffee, except I had to stop drinking that a few years ago as a regular thing.. doctors orders.

I am glad you are doing some planning Leens. That will make all the difference in the world. I don't plan every meal, but I do plan meals for the week when I go to the store. Later I decided what I am having on what day. Breakfast and lunches are easy for me, just have dinner time to contend with. Luckily, I am a big Chinese food fan, so I made all sorts of different stir frys with different sauces that help me get in my 5+ veggies a day. Last night I made baked filet of sole and had grilled zucchini and diced garlic tomatoes.. mmmmmm.

Good luck with the car shopping. Hope you or hubby is a good negotiator so you don't get stuck paying the sticker price
  • Hey Linny !!

I LOVE stir fry, what kind of sauces do you make? I really don't eat enough veggies but I was telling Jim that I would love to make them with different sauces and I could eat em like mad.

    Share please !!!!!!!

  • Sauces
Umm.. I usually buy them at Trader Joe's. One's I get there are : Dress the Dragon Sauce.. I believe about 10 calories and no fat, a Hawaiian Pineapple Teriyaki, I think about 20 calories and no fat.. also a thai peanut sauce.. a bit higher in calories and fat.. but ooooh so good.. I buy their thick udon noodles, and in with those noodles, there is a seasoning mix that is pretty good to add. Cost Plus, if you have those in your area, also carry pre-made sauces.. I bought a honey garlic and a mango based one therethis last weekend. I have a black bean sauce, hoisin sauce, lemon sauce at home as well.

    A basic homemade sauce is:

    soy sauce
    water or chicken broth
    cornstarch
    fresh grated ginger
    white pepper

Other things to add or not: lemon juice, garlic, crushed red pepper, sherry /dry white wine, tabasco, vinegar, brown sugar, orange or lemon peel, sesame seeds, chinese five spice powder, sesame oil ( expensive but a little goes a very long way).

Here is a hyperlink on yahoo to a search I did for stir fry sauce recipes.. have fun and eat your veggies!!
