  • Welcome, and I hope to run into you a lot around here! Your son/daughter is lucky to have a mom who's decided to take care of herself, and remember that you're important too!

Welcome! I was in your same spot at the beginning of April, except my baby was only 11 months old and I was about 50 pounds overweight. My advice is to find a plan that you can incorporate into your lifestyle without torturing yourself too much. I did WW because I had a friend who was looking fab after losing about 15 pounds in two months. She didn't have very much to lose, but she said it was so easy, and she was right. I started April 7, 2008, at 184 pounds. I weight 141 pounds today. I feel great. I have about five or six pounds I would like to lose by spring. No big deal. I have been enjoying adding back some of my old favorite foods and maintaining for about a month.

You can do this. My other piece of advice is to also exercise every day. I know this is hard with a small child, but it is something you have to do for you and your baby. I started out walking an hour a day and now I run for an hour four times a week. Whether you go to the park with your little one or can get away to a gym, go for it!
  • Thanks guys! I'm trying to make small changes already. I need to break the diet coke habit and the boredom snacking habit. =0) Once I get through those two I'm on to even bigger and better changes.
