Multiple NSV's this week!

  • I had to wear a belt to work. To hold my pants up. We've just got a new work uniform and the uniform shop has NO second-hand ones, and I don't want to spend all that money on new uniforms I'm (hopefully) only going to wear a few months. So I'll skip a size.

People at work have commented! Lots of them, at different times. That's pretty cool.

I went to buy a new pair of jeans, so I had something that fitted properly. They didn't look that great, and the girl in the shop was trying to tell me they were too big. I didn't believe her until I tried on the next size down. They fit me! I'm now a (AUS) 16!

I did my measurements. I've lost 6cm (2.3 in) off my waist, 11 cm (4.3 in) off my hips and 3cm (1.1) off my bust. In ONE MONTH! No wonder my clothes are loose!

I'm feeling pretty good today. And the scales are down again as well. But it's not official weigh-in day yet, so I'm not changing my ticker.

  • That's just fabulous. Congratulations!!!
  • That must be the best feeling in the world!
  • Congratulations on having so much wonderful success.
  • Thanks guys! It finally feels like I am heading in the right direction.

Right now I am sitting here in front of the computer, looking at the waistband of the shorts I'm wearing. I'm pushing my stomach out as far as it will go, and there is still about an inch of air between my stomach and the fabric of the shorts.

And they were tight when I bought them! I'm glad no-one can see me, but I'm pretty sure you guys will understand the stupid smile I have on my face. I've been calorie counting and exercising for 10 weeks and have lost 8.1 kg (nearly 18 lb), so it's not like it's happened overnight, but I just never noticed before!
  • Isn't it amusing how excited you can get about having to wear a belt?!?!?! I'm in the same position right now. I normally am really uncomfortable in belts, but they're definitely necessary now if I want to make sure that my pants don't fall off in the middle of an Algebra lesson

    Keep up the good work!
  • Congratulations on your success!
  • Primm - that's awesome!

    Good for you!!

  • How excited you must be! Like you, I was too cheap to buy new clothes at every size, so I've held out. In fact, I made do through two sizes!
