OMG so i am in the lunchroom today eating my lean pocket (only one) and my yogurt for lunch and in comes this really nice woman with HOMAMADE CHOCOLATE AND PEANUT BUTTER CHIP COOKIES!!! and she leaves them in there for everyone to share. So EVERYONE in the lunch room is passing them around and i have to say no thank you like 100 times to like 6 people. I wanted one soooooooo bad, but there is no way i know how many calories were in those things and I sure did not allot for them today. I stil did not eat any, but they are all i can think about lol. I am sure they are gone by now so there is no use pineing over them at all, but MAN they looked good!!! Oh well, i guess i can say it was a small NSV that i actually passed them up.

Good for you! Homemade cookies are a horrible temptation for me, especially chocolate chip/peanut butter ones. I don't know if I could stand it!

I feel your pain! Someone brought cookies from the bakery to work today. There are choc. chip, peanutbutter (my fav), and choc brownie. They are sitting by the printer RIGHT NOW AS I TYPE...Right on the other side of my desk.

I had to change my printer location so I wouldn't go over there. But I can't stop thinking about them!

Ever since I became vegan, I found the one thing that's more important to me than food.. and that's my values. I refuse to eat anything with milk, eggs, butter, etc, so whenever someone offers me something like cookies... it's very easy for me to say no thank you. It makes eating on the run for me a little difficult, too.

For instance here I am at work, I didn't pack a lunch because I didn't think I'd be here that long... so I had to go to safeway and find something. I found a burrito with 280 calories and I got an orange. *shrug* It's the best I can do for right now. I'm not big on salad, haha.

What I'm trying to get at is that you should be super proud of yourself! I don't think I would have been able to do that if I wasn't vegan.

I feel your pain, we can ignore them together, (but at least i was able to leave mine in another room!) Honestly i would relocate them and if anyone asked i would tell them why. But hey at least you have not eaten any! YAY for us!!!!

Choc/PB is my absolute favorite flavor combination! The problem at my work is every time someone has a birthday there's home made cake and everyone is so pushy about it if you don't have a piece, even after you say you're not hungry!

At any rate: Hooray for all who avoided temptation today!

my absolute fave thing in the world is anything that contains choc/pb.......Owlmonkey that just happened to me the other day..a coworkers bday........and most girls at my work are very health conscious--so they think well if we're gonna have a bit then I should have some as well...it was a choc cake with brownie bits on top.........( that of course I had to go and buy) so instead of a slice I just picked a small piece of brownie off the top and ate it to satisfy them and said I honestly don't want any!!!!!

I have similar problems at work all the time, they feed us more here than any other job I have ever had! lately they have been super nice though, making sure they order a salad or things that can be made into a salad (we had a taco bar yesterday but they made sure there was chicken too) but they also had cookies.... i wanted one so bad. I finally gave in and took a half of one. better than it all but not as good as you!

Good for you turning down the sweets guys!!! I feel self conciouse in public eating, (like at work in front of a bunch of skinny people, or school, all those teeny boppers) so I don't have much trouble saying no at the time, but I think about it the rest of the day. I can't cut my husband off from chips and sweets, so they are still in the house, and have a hard time not getting into them, but my outcome of the weight loss seems to help me avoid it. The scale helps too, so again, good job guys. Keep turning those cookies down. Besides, they don't look as good on the hips as they do on the plate, right?
