So on a positive note.....

  • How was everyone's day?

Anyone have any NSV's to share?

    Mel- Congrats on the loss!

The best thing I did today was change my own light bulbs! LOL
No- Seriouslly In my living room I have two floursent bulbs. I have been in the dark for like 4 days waiting for my DBF to get time to come over when I was home to change the bulbs. Today I decided it couldn't be that hard right? I went to the store and bought two of the bulbs...(pretty cheap ) and a step ladder cause I am short. It took all of 7 minutes.... I had to figure out how to get the 1st one in, but the second went in smooth like butter.

    I was so proud.

This is my first week of P2. I have added back a Peach. I am getting a little tired of eating the same fruit everyday, but I am working the recomendation of trying only one new item a week. I haven't had any cravings with morning consuption or evening so looking good. I get to add something else on Sunday. Yippie! Anyone have a good suggestion? I was thinking brown rice.

    Big hug for everyone!
    'night
  • why, yes...i do!
    thanks for asking!

i wore a pair of pants that i bought months and months ago.

they were labeled a size 18/20 but totally were SO not.

    at least 2 sizes smaller.

and they were a bit loose.

and good job on the light bulbs!

i changed the brake light in my car for first time a while back...i felt so competent!
  • I rode in a car for 45 minutes with my legs crossed, and not that tight uncomfortable crossed at the knees thing either. They rwally cross, one knee kind of falls across the thigh of the other other leg. Yes, I spent time admiring it

Congratulations on the light bulb changing (how many SBD'es does it take to change a light bulb?!). I love figuring out how to take care of something like that on my own.

    Thanks for asking!
  • :)
Mrs. Dorson- You have exercised for 135 days straight? I bow in your awesomness....(Is that even a word?) Anyway..... You are the exercise queen! Keep it up! *Also congrats on getting into new tinier pants.

Cyndi- LOL Sweet! I love NSV's because it is never something you think will be important when you first start out losing weight, but it is soooo motivating. Hmmmm... my legs don't cross easily yet.... but I'll get there too.
  • Thank you Akacutie. That reminds me, gotta go change my ticker.

Brown rice sounds good... what about stirfry with some brown rice? Yummm!

    You're doing great.
  • Lol
    Mel-

    I was totally thinking stir-fry. Yum-O
  • and i forgot!

my blood pressure is down from 140/81.

    it is now.................127/71.

    whoohoo.

    i am fully medicated.
  • Congrats on the light bulb! I built a birdcage this summer out of old windows...all by myself! that excited me a lot....i'm about the least handy guy ever.

Also, tonight I made Butternut Squash and Pear Soup for dinner...it was delicious. Also made whole wheat dark chocolate almond biscotti.....yum!
  • Mul - I'm going to pick your brain for that soup recipe.....
  • Mrs Dorson, congrats on the blood pressure! I should have mine checked. It was high before giving birth so I had to be induced. And it was high afterwards. I should have it checked out now to see what it is.

Yeah, Mul that soup sounds delicious! Very interesting as well. Will you share?
  • I want the Biscotti recipe...mmmm....sounds so good
  • Sure! Sure! A NSV thread that turns into food porn!

On a positive note, I finally found the wee heater that I use in the between season to warm the back room of my house. It's still not time to light the woodstove but it's too chilly out there for TV watching in the evenings. Now I can sit out there and quilt while I watch schlock.
