Points for Udon Soup?

  • Hi all. I am doing WW from home so I can't ask this question at a meeting.

I saw in the WW dining out book under Japanese food that 2 cups of nebeyaki udon is 5 points. Does this include all those noodles and 2 cups of broth? I am not sure what nebeyaki means.

Soba noodles with sauce is listed at 9 points for 1 cup and the soba noodles are much thinner than udon noodles.

I am really confused over this and I would like to have some udon noodle soup for lunch once autumn really hits here, which will be soon. I would have this with zero point veggies only...so my concern is the points value for the broth and noodles in that very large take out container.

    Anyone know for sure????
  • I am not sure on the calories, but you can dip into your 35 points if you go over that day and underscore how much they are. Worst case scenario, you don't get to use all your 35 for the week because you gave too many to your soup.
  • You might want to go components on this one.

Udon Noodles - 1/2 cup cooked: 115 calories, 3 grams protein, 23 grams carbohydrate, 0.6 grams fat, 0.1 grams fiber

Broth - This you should be able to look up in your points book...I'd probably use a homemade broth or similar to calculate
  • Thanks! It's been so long I forgot that I could/should break it down into components. I needed that reminder!
