  • Well, I am stoked! I hit my first goal of 249 this morning. (Um... )

I walked into the hospital last night - to see my friend who had her baby. Her mother, who I have known since I was 15, didn't even recognize me. Well, that is what she said. lol. It was really cool to hear. But I don't think I am at that point just yet.

But when I started this whole thing I was on WW and my idea of my first goal came from when my points would go down. So from 270 to 249. Now I am calorie counting and wondering what you guys think my next goal should be.

I don't want to make it wicked low - because I worked my rump off to get to this point - but I don't want to make it too high to get discouraged.

    So, advice p-p-pleasssse!?

    woot. woot.

EDIT: OKAY - so thank you to everyone for my advice. I think I am gonna rock the 10% one first (Thank you Beth!) and once that is done and over with - go back to my twenty pound markers.

I did this weight loss simulator and 220 is looking way good. What a difference!
  • Congrats!! Thats exciting eh?!
My first goal is 299.... 8 lbs away!
  • Maybe your next goal should be 20 lbs??
  • Congrats!!

    I usually do 20lb increments.
  • you crack me up.

i have no suggestions on your next goal but i wanted to say i LOVE your blog. you totally made me laugh out loud!

the throwing of the lean cuisine is what made me snorf my coffee!

    thanks!
  • I can't say what is too much or too little for you, but I can say what I do:

Okay, I have stages of Mini-goals:
There are large mini-goals (10% at a time, which I always work towards)
There are medium mini-goals (5 pounds at a time, so I earn my 5lb stars)
Mini-mini-goals: This includes drinking my water, eating within my points, exercising... all that good stuff.
  • I used to shoot for each 10 pounds. I've sorta shifted to each "decade" (180s, 170s, 160s, etc) because it's more obvious. But I'm still excited by each 10 pounds. For example, I'm already into the 150s (158-159), but I am just dying to hit 157 just to make 40 pounds official.
  • Wow!!!
    That's great.

I think if you liked the 20lbs marker last time, stick to it again.
  • Mabye 243, which would be 10% lost of your starting weight...only 6 pounds to go!
    And then 229....15% lost!
  • I always say a jeans size. Because when you reach the goal, the reward is that much sweeter because obviously you need a cute new pair of jeans.
  • Congrats!

I've been basing my mini-goals off the next BMI point. For me, it's roughly 6 pounds. It helps to see that I'm only "4" away from 50 pounds. Intermediate goals are 25 pounds. Then the BIGGIE. :P

Lol, it did! But it made this outrageous THWAP sound. He shall never look at a lean cuisine again in the same way.
  • Gratz Girl!!!

Mind change is amazing isnt it? I had mine in the middle of August. I also took control, stopped drinking, snacking and caffeine. I feel fan-tab-ulous !! I can see the physical difference and the attitude difference in your blogs. Keep it up !!
