  • Having super upbeat (and frequently pounding) dance music is soooo important to my having a good workout. The few times I've forgotten my ipod and/or it's run out of batteries it's been no fun!

I think there was a thread about this somewhere recently but I can't find it right now.

What are your favorite workout tunes? My top 3 right now are:

    1. Gotta Get Thru This - DANIEL BEDINGFIELD (the lyrics are PERFECT for intense cardio!!)
    2. Stronger - Kanye West
    3. The Way I Are - Timbaland

(I purposely save my workout songs for workouts ONLY. No listening when not working out allowed, to keep them "fresh" longer. )
  • T.I. - Whatever U Like
    Munga - Whine Pon It
Queen Ifrica - Keep It To Youself
    Charley Blacks - Cli**rus
Vybz Kartel - Fatta Dan A Pound

Those are just a few - As you can see, I normally like to listen to dirty dancehall while I workout. I have no idea why. It makes me MOVE. lol.
  • Just a few from my ipod:
    Aerosmith: Walk this way
Brittany Spears: Peice of Me, Toxic
    Buckcherry: Crazy B**ch
    Kelis: Milkshake
I could go on and on, I love listening to music while I work out.
  • they way i are is an amazing tune, absolutely love it....
the UK number 2 (i think - cant member name) is one of my favs atm....
    the 'i kissed a girl'....
i like anything upbeat and motivating and ongoing....
keeps me upbeat as i try to co ordinate the exercise with the beat....
  • 1) gym class heroes- cookie jar ...haha it makes me laugh, even though he's meaning it a different way...when he says "you can hide it, i'mma find it...I'll say I didn't do it, my face covered in chocolate....i got my hand in the cookie jar" ...haha Basically that's my relationship with cookies.

    2) Anything by Mindless Self Indulgence

    3) Modest Mouse- Float on
  • i still like Pump the Jam by the Techtronics really gets me in the mood for weights!
  • Quote: 3) Modest Mouse- Float on
This is on my playlist for sure!

Cake - shut the **** up
    Anything by linkin park
    Anything Ska...

I like listening to more rock music *which is odd cuz I don't really like it* it fuels me for some reason.
  • Mostly listen to some Hard Rock to get me going. .. when a fast song somes on my iPod it pumps me up and have a great work out....sometimes I even feel like singing along but that's just too wacky when other people are at the gym and I am breathing harder than usual...LOL
  • Oh yeah, this is reposted in my not so popular alternachicks thread.
But this is my work out playlist on my ipod. Highlighted are the songs I find are wicked relevant and you should find them and download them now.

    Self Inflicted - Katy Perry
Use your love - Katy Perry
    Old School - Hedley
Money Honey - State of Shock
    American Boy - Estelle

For me a good workout song has to either have a good pumping beat or some emotional attachment (for me). I find if it brings out a strong emotion I'll pump up my intensity...
