Explain To Me The Current Situation!

  • What's the deal with the three sisters? Am I to understand that they've all lost weight, re-gained it and are now trying again? I was trying to figure out exactly what's transpired from reading their journals. If that's the case, I can sure sympathize, because I'm starting again to try to lose, after gaining back so many pounds!!! Anyone else with 75 lbs to lose? That is me!
  • 80 here!!
And still fluctuating! I was at my highest at 267. Dropped to 198. Got pregnant. At delivery (almost 5 years ago!! ) I was 212. Then got to my recent highest at 238. Now I'm down to 215, 220, back to 217, down to 213, back up to 220. You get the message! What a roller coaster!

Have to get to 150 or thereabouts, and it's HARD! Good luck to you and hope to see you around!
  • Sherrie, I'm in Raleigh, North Carolina! So we're both Carolina girls. I'm 5'10" tall, unfortunately with truly small bones (my thumb and middle finger overlap by an inch on my wrist!), so I should probably only weigh 150-ish but in fact weigh 225! My high! I am almost 58, so it's a hard time of my life to lose.

How old are you? You must be a spring chicken if you were pregnant 5 years ago! How tall are you?

Where is Lexington, SC? Near Charleston (which I love!)? Maybe we could be diet buddies unless you would prefer someone your own age, which I would totally understand!

Hope to hear from you again!
  • I'm almost as tall as you are!!
Isn't this amazing?? I'm 5'9" and I weigh (at this precise moment) 220, although that is apt to change in the next 10 minutes or so! Ugh!! However, I was not blessed with small bones and, in fact, am built like a linebacker. Broad shoulders, large hands and feet. I look like a man in drag when I dress up

Lexington is just outside of Columbia, about 1 hour (if you drive fast! ) from Charleston, which I love also!

I'm 28 but I need buddies desperately! I love to e-mail and chat, occasionally when I have the time. I also come to this site about 4 times an evening, so I will answer you if I can!

What program are you on? I'm having a very hard time on Atkins which I had much success with when I first started. I try to exercise at least 3 times a week, but sometimes I let that slide for no apparent reason! Sometimes I get down and feel sorry for myself, though I try to control the pity party! So a good kick in the pants is needed every once in a while.

    Talk to you soon!
  • Sherrie, I'm posting on the "Diet Buddy" forum (NC Grandmother needs, etc.) - come talk to me there , okay? You were saying how big-boned you are - my sister is like you. She's 5'8" compared to my 5'10" but she can weigh more than me, and look great! My Mom is big-boned also.

What will you do for Easter? Am going to my sister's, three hours away, tomorrow for a big dinner Sunday. Have made three desserts to take, and will do the potato salad in the morning before I leave. Starting Monday I'm going on 1500 cals. And I have been walking for over a week now.

Sounds as though you are doing well with losing weight. Really the slower we take it off, the better it stays off! Come talk to me next time on the other Forum if you don't mind. I'm looking forward to it!

    Cheers,

    Grammy
