Question About getting support on the boards

  • I was gone a bit and just got back. I want to make a real strong commitment to my goal of losing 30lbs.
To be successful in this I really need a support group. One I can enourage and get encouragement from. These boards so far have been good.
But, can you tell me how to make the most of these boards to really get the support needed. Should I stay in featherweights? or do I go in weight support? There's so many different areas to be in. I guess I'm getting lost.
    I hope I make sense.

    Thanks,
  • From my experience Featherweights is pretty much dead. I tend to stick with the 20-somethings (though I'm 19) at least until I get home (on summer vacation still) and can better commit to a strict diet plan - then I'll probably pop over to South Beach, too. Lots more activity in all of those. You don't just have to stick with one group, either! Take part in any group you relate to.

A lot of members find that using email or myspace also helps them get support when they're not on the forum. It's an idea, too.

Good luck with your weight loss

Sometimes it takes a while to find the right niche on these boards... It's quite large and can be confusing at times. Take your time find a spot to call your own, and post away...

Eskinomad -- From personal experience, I've been around these boards now for over 5 years, the summer time is very quiet, Featherweights, along with the rest of 3FC will pick up in the Fall...
