Nutrisystem sends you breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack for each day. Just eating the entrees is not enough calories. You have to add in protein/dairy, fruit, vegetables and also you have a snack. I know it sounds like a lot of food, but it really is all necessary and best of all - it works! No you have to add your own foods to round out the meals. all Nutrisystem gives you is the entree. You must add dairy, protein, vegetables, fruit, good fats and fat free salad dressing. This adds about $20-$30 more to your weekly cost.

There are some other plans that give you complete menus with nothing to add but they cost much more. BistroMD is one of those plans.

What is the cost of Nutrisystem? I thought that it was about $300 per month. Is that right? That seems really high if you have to add your own food as well.

$300 is about right. But they do give discounts for 28 day shipments, 3 or more orders, 50 clicks, and referrals. It's about $10 a day which isn't that bad.
