Too many choices?

  • Hi All,
I've been on Nu-Kitchen delivery, a plan here in NYC for about 2 months (it will be officially 2 months on Thursday the 31st).

I've had delivery 5 days a week, they don't deliver to my area on the weekends.

I have not lost as much as I would have hoped. I'm down about 8 pounds (need to loose about 65).

I am thinking about changing plans, as I have LOVED the delivery idea and have really stuck to it, no cheats. The food has been really good and its gotten me to eat more vegtables.

I am looking for a plan that has 7 day a week delivery. So far I'm interested in Chef's Diet, Zone Manhattan and Fresh Diet. From what I have read these three have the best tasting food (if it tastes bad this won't work for me).

Does anyone have any expereince with these? Please give me your thoughts.

    Thanks a ton,
    Lauri
  • I'm sorry, I've not tried any of those plans, so I can't say.

But I just wanted to wish you luck whatever you decide and comment that a four-pounds-per-month loss is actually very good! I know we'd all like to lose a couple of pounds per week, but you're averaging a pound a week which seems to be a really good pace and if you're enjoying the plan you're currently on, I'd say stick it out and just add more exercise to see if that helps.

I started out with a seven-day plan and eventually switched to five-days, just so I could start learning--on my own--exactly what to eat on those non-plan days and still keep to my goals.

Anyway, good luck and I hope you get the info on the plans you're looking for!!
  • Hi Lauri!

I don't have experience with the plans that you mentioned. But I do have reviews and detailed info on some mail-order plans you may want to consider (Pure Foods Fresh Start, eDiets Deliciously Yours, & Diet to Go) on my website, Thin By Mail.

Also I have to echo Grace - 8 pounds in 2 months is a totally normal and healthy weight loss rate! But I understand you hoping for faster results. My own weight loss has been super slow, and it does get frustrating at times, but I keep telling myself I'll probably be able to keep it off easier in the future... so we shall see.

    Good luck with your decision!
