  • I picked up "The New Glucose Revolution" from the library. Looks like it is a 2003 version and doesn't say anything about glucose load?

I have a few other books on hold but would be very interested in reading about glucose load.
  • Sorry NELIE . . . I only just noticed your post.

The third edition of The New Glucose Revolution was released in 2007 and it covers both GI (Glycemic Index) and GL (Glycemic Load).

Most of the newer books cover both. Have a look at The Complete Idiot's Guide to Glycemic Index Weight Loss and one of my favourites, Magic Foods.

Please have a look at this post . . . http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=143409 . . . which explains both GI and GL and gives you the formula for calculating GL.

One book, The Glycemic Load Diet, has lots of sound ideas in it, but I cannot in good faith recommend it to anyone because I cannot for the life of me (and I'm a math nerd) figure out how the author has calculated the GL values he lists.
