Large Weight loss in beginning?

  • Okay, so I started my calorie counting on the 14th at 174 pounds and I had to take a peek today and I was SHOCKED to see 170! My goal is to lose about a pound a week...roughly 5 pounds a month.

    I used to do Atkins and when you first start you lose a lot of excess water weight, so I would lose about 10% of what I wanted to lose in the first 2 weeks...but I didn't think it was the same when you count calories.

    Did anyone else experience this?
  • Hi! It's common to lose more weight right at first, and it's not just on Atkins. Just be thrilled and enjoy! Things will likely slow down at some point.

    I have never EVER given 100% to anything other than my attempt at Atkins, so I had NO idea what to expect. lol

    NOt to mention, TOM is lurking so that's not bad at ALL!!!
