  • I am new here, too. I have been hanging out on different health forums where people seem to have an attitude. This one seems so helpful and welcoming! This is my first post...here is my story:
I was always the skinny girl. I got comments about my figure almost daily. At 5'4'', I weighed about 115 for years. Then, suddenly, and I am not sure why, I gained 15 pounds. The comments stopped--I haven't had a compliment about my body in almost 3 years. I know I am within a healthy weight range, but a have a "muffin top" and really just want my old self back. I took up running after I saw my rear-end in the 3-way mirror at Target 2 summers ago, and since then I have completed 3 half-marathons, a triathlon, and several other races. Still, the muffin top prevails and I can't seem to shake it! I am hoping this will be the summer I get my old bod back. I miss it terribly and have felt out of sorts and alien in this new figure.
