Today I saw my sister in law's neighbor. I've met her briefly 2 or 3 times over the years, but I barely know her. She approached me and introduced herself. She said that she didn't recognize me at first because, "You've lost a ton of weight." But, when she said it, her tone was accusing, her brow was furled, and I couldn't even begin to decipher what it was she was trying to communicate non verbally. I was left stunned and trying to figure out what exactly had just happened.
It was really weird. People are weird.
