I would like a support forum for those of us on Phentermine. I have been on the med. for 2 mos. and would like other people to talk to. I am a little nervous about going off the med. at 3 mos. but I have changed many things about my lifestyle. My husband and I decided to do all of this together so it would be more of a lifestyle change. So far I have lost 45 lbs. (I lost some before I went on the med.) I haven't had any bad side effects either. I am excited to be going down in clothes sizes. I hope there are others out there that would like to start a forum. Good luck and God bless.

I am not presently on it but I've been on it in the past and it was great the first time around! I lost weight quickly and pretty effortlessly but after the 2nd month the effect of the pill kinda wore off and it never had the same effect again. But I'm so glad you are having great sucess with it!

Hi, I am on Phentermine also. I have been taking it for 18 days now and have lost 17 pounds so far.

I would love to, but I know my doc would cringe at the thought. I took phen/fen 10 years ago and lost 40 lbs in 3 months. Then it didn't work any more plus it got pulled from the market. Oh, but those 3 months were awesome (except for the extreme constipation). Good Luck!

I was on Fen-Phen years ago and that worked great. I had no trouble but of course they took the Fen off the market because of heart problems. Since then, I've tried Phen by itself and it had absolutely no effect on me. I have several other friends with the same experience. I guess different people have different tolerance for the drug.

I was on the phen/fen years ago and lost 70 pounds in 7 months before the side effects were known and before the pondomin was pulled from the market.I did not have any heart related side effects after.I have tried the phenterminre by itself a few times and have ordered it online awhile ago.It is helpful for weight loss but makes me very jittery and anxious but it does work.I gained weight back when not on it but very slowly.I have an appointment next week with a diet doctor in the area and he does use phentermine and I hope he will give it to me,I have highb/p and my thyroid was removed and I am on Synthroid so I am not sure if he will give it to me.Hopefully after I see him on Thur I will be back on it.He uses a ADA exchange diet which I like and the phen gives the push I need to follow it .I also post on the Beck diet solutions posts and think the book and plan is great.I find though that it is so hard to stick to any plan and eat for stress and emotional eating reasons.The phen turns off the desire to eat to excess for me and I used to take half of a 37.5mg tablet.Prices are so high on the internet to buy it and it is coming from out of the country so it is hard to tell if the companies are reputable.

This is just my personal view, but I would avoid getting ANY drug off of the internet. It isn't safe to get a diet drug, birth control, Viagra, or whatever from the internet without a prescription.

People have different side effects, and different tolerances to drugs...and you need to be under a doctor's supervision. Meridia, the prescription weight loss drug that was popular a few years ago, could mess with some users blood pressures, and other things. Phen/fen gave somepeople irreversable heart damage...even the simplest prescription medications do not work with some people, and they have to be monitored.

You just want to be careful when you get into any prescription drug, and proceed with caution.

I tried to take it but it made me feel awful. I couldn't sleep for three days after I took it to. However when I did take it I ate alot less.

The doctor did approve my phentermine script,I was concerned he wouldn't because I have hihg b/p.It is however controlled and normal on meds.Started today.

I tried it, but it made me feel horrible. My B/P went sky high. I must say it worked as far as curbing by appitite, I didn't have one and found myself forcing to eat something (That was a first!!!)

Just yesterday I had a routine physical with my PCP. All systems were go, healthy as a horse. The only problem is my BMI says I am just into the "obese" range and that is not good.

I explained to my doc that for a long time I have had only limited success with weight loss and wanted to try Phentermine. He agreed only after we had a long talk about what it could and could not do, how my diet should be strong in nutrition and absent of "fads". He reminded me that a 10% loss is the best and first goal.

Only 3 to 6 weeks of the pills on a daily basis and then the slow progression of tapering off so that when the prescription runs out I am not dependent on them. At that time I will be used to eating smaller amounts of nutritious foods and deeply immersed in a regular exercise routine.

Phentermine is not for everyone. This is my jump start and with the backing of my physician (who is well respected in the community and at the hospital where I am a medical coder) I am confident and committed.

i started taking duromine (australian version) 3 days ago and have lost 2.1kgs (4.6lbs).
i have had minimal side effects, although i am monitoring my heart rate whenever i do cardo just to be safe.
im not hungry and iv barely eaten anything sweet which is usually my vice (damn you weight watchers treats!)

the only side effect i had was feeling a bit dizzy when i was disco bowling :P
