What happened to my energy

  • I an on day 10 of MF and i have reached a whole new level of tired. I have been really busy the past two days and have only been able to get in 3 shakes and my LG. I feel like a zombie!! Today i will try my best to get in all of them. But is this the reason why i am so tired. If i drink all of my shakes today will i feel better? Is anyone else really dragging?
Also I am having dreams about bread, I guess i really miss it.
  • What's your calorie intake? You need the five shakes a day for sure and should be sure your Lean and Green meal is good protein and veggies.
  • Oh that's a definite yes! You are only getting around 600 calories if you're missing two of your MF meals. This not only will put you in starvation mode, it will make your body sluggish to conserve energy. Your carb intake is probably really low too, which would partially explain why you're craving bread. If you are having trouble getting all the meals in, I find it helps to double up on the packets. So instead of just having a shake, I'll have a shake and a pudding or a super-sized shake. It's really important to get all the meals in for many, many reasons, so please don't skimp. The 800-1000 calories a day is low enough already without lessening it by skipping meals.
  • Thanks, I think with my busy work load i will have to do some combining of my MF meals.
  • You might want to note that they don't recommend combining them - for optimal energy and best weight loss, they recommend eating a MF packet every 3 hours or so... but combining them is better than not eating them at all, for sure.
  • Also, measure your lean. Before I found an inexpensive scale I was guessing and was way off. I found that I was eating about half of what I should have been eating. That was a nice surprise!
  • Energy comes back in a big way, get in ketosis and stay there! YOU can do it!
  • I felt tired for about 4 or 5 days, but now, 3 days into week 4, I feel pretty "normal".

I think excellent points were made about making sure you are eating enough, though. You could either buy portions that are x number of ounces and get really close to the L&G recommended number of ounces or you could get a scale, they are pretty cheap at the big discount stores.

    Best wishes!
