I want to be able to dance again.

  • Hey everyone!

Thanks for all of the great help and advice!
  • Hi J!
I find it a battle daily just to not say "oh what the heck" but I know in the long run it will all be worth the while. Also I am hoping that in the long run all my discipline will continue to help me when I finally do meet my goal weight.
Good luck with your weight loss. A very big to the group!

  • Hi J! Welcome to the chicks board. I really feel for you after reading your post. I can relate to having been thin in the past and letting it slip away and having this intense urge to get it back. I also used to feel shocked when I saw my reflection in the mirror. How did I let this happen to me? Well, I kind of know how....I had chronic daily migraines for about a year. I also had my son diagnosed with something (I'd rather not disguss right now). Anyway, this led me down a bad path. I just didn't care and I ignored the gym, the mirror, the scale and often times, social occasions.

Now that I"m on the right track again, I"m very excited, but at the same time, I can't seem to make this go fast enough! I have gone from outgrowing my size 16 Women's pants, to having my size 14 pants get loose. I can't wait to be a size 8 or 10 again!!!

I just wanted to ask you a quick question about your calories. Are you sure that 1,100 are enough? I know on some days you get more, but I just worry because I've heard that you should never go below 1200. I know you didn't ask for advice, but I just wanted to share with you what I did: I found an online calculator for Resting Metabolic Rate. Do a search on google and it'll come up. That will tell you what your body burns if you stay in bed all day. The idea is that if you eat those many calories (or a tiny bit less), and your exercise...your weight will come off. Sure, it won't be 4 lbs. in 3 days, but much of that is likely to be water weight. Anyway, I just wanted to mention it to you.

You sound like a very motivated person who will definitely succeed! Keep comin' back and stay away from the bars!

    See you around!
  • Hi ladies! Thanks for the well-wishes!
  • OH to be thin again! with pictures to prove that you once had it!Now that motivation!YOU CAN DO IT!or starve trying, just joken, hang in there.
  • Wow, your story is a lot like mine. I could have wrote it myself. First of all, welcome! I have to say, one of the pluses of losing 23 pounds has been not being embarrassed to go out with my friends. I didn't want to be the friend who people didn't even recognize. Good luck and I look forward to reading and responding to your posts in the future!
  • Thanks again ladies!

I feel as if my body was begging me to do this, and is thanking me already.
I think that is just how I felt, only I couldn't put it into those words.

    You're gonna do great
  • Twirler!! You have a great attitude - you can do this!!
