Hi, just here looking for some motivation!

  • Hello everyone! My name is Debbie, and I live in central Kentucky.

I don't really know where to start.....I do know that I need to lose weight. A LOT of weight.

Well.....for beginners, I have lost some already. In Oct. '07 when I started working again(after 2 years of staying home with my 2 children) I weighed 267lbs. I was wearing a size 20 jeans(but needed to be wearing a 22, cause they were TIGHT!!). Right now, I weigh 224 and can get into my size 16's again.

The bad news is, I am stuck. I cannot seem to lose anymore. I do have a game plan. I am going to drag out my old firm videos, and start working out. Maybe dust off my treadmill (LOL!!). It has to be done, though. I have come to far already to just give up and say "This is good enough"

My short term goal will be to get below 200lbs. Long term, I would like to weigh about 140 or so. We shall see!!
  • Hey Debbie!

Have you seen the 100 lb club? It's a great group for those who are losing or have lost 100 lbs or more...it'd be a great place to start.

You should look around and settle in..can't wait to get to know you better!
  • . . . glad you found us, Chickie . . . you've come to a great place for support and encouragement. You are doing great so far.
  • You've done an incredible job so far Debbie, well done! You can definitely lose that weight alongside us here.
  • you are off to a really good start! keep it up!
  • Hi Debbie !
Hang in there I know exactly what you mean about being stuck. Do not give up sometimes it takes several weeks to start loosing weight again. I was at three weeks stuck and the other day I lost a pound again.
Of course during that three weeks I was like "What is going on!".
I think it is better to loose slow and then your body has time to adjust also.

    Welcome to the group!!
    Terri
  • Thanks for the warm welcome! My first day under my new routine has been great! I did a workout video this morning, and have just been staying active cleaning and stuff all day. This is the first time I have slowed down! I hope I can get past this little plateau I am on....
  • Hello Debbie! Waving to you from hot and steamy Louisiana. Glad to have you. God BLess.
  • HI Debbie
