NSV: no emotional eating and binging

  • Hi everyone.

I wanted to share a NSV: I had a very very upsetting conversation with a family member this morning. I mean, it was an emotionally difficult "argument" for over 30 minutes on the phone, and then when I got off the phone, I cried my eyes out. But then afterwards, I realized that #1- I had not had breakfast yet, and #2- I didn't feel compelled to binge on rich food. So now I am having my planned breakfast of cereal and skim milk with a piece of fruit.

Being on a healthy food plan since February has really helped me learn to cope in ways other than binge eating!!! YAY!!!

  • Excellent. Learning to cope with the stress in life is the first step to success. Keep it up. Also I just read in another thread about setting short term goals. Maybe setting a goal of losing 10% of the weight and celebrating that. I would think that seems more attainable and there would be less chance of discouragement. But do celebrate this one great success. Keep it up.
  • Thumbs up to you! You did great. Looks like you becoming stronger each day. Keep it up!
  • Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! As a binge eater, I can totally relate to what a change this would be! Congratulations!
