Hi all,

My name is Trina. I'm 24 and apparently waiting to live my life. LOL! My friends have pointed out that I tend to say 'I'll do that as soon as I lose x-amount of pounds' when ever they suggest something. I thought about it and realized that my life has been on hold for 12 years or so as I waited for some miracle to happen so that I could miraculously lose 100 pounds.

So now, as I try to lose weight, I'm also trying to live as I am and not worry about what other people think.

...which is harder than I thought...

I'll try not to lurk too much.

Hi Trina, and welcome! Your post really hit me in the gut, because I have had the very same problem, only for about 30 years! I am trying desperately to start LIVING, and it is so sad to have let so much time roll by. By all means, get out there and do everything while you're working on your weight! Good luck!

Hehe I'm the same way. Makes me wonder why I don't work harder to lose the weight....anyways, welcome and good luck. I'm new here too.

Welcome to the forum Trina. I was the same way until I realized that no one is going to live my life for me just as much as I don't want to live theirs. That's when I started losing the weight, got the amazing job, and moved on to a fabulous life. You can do it, just have faith.
