Pregnant Chick Check In

  • Well, it looks like this is it... My contractions are still pretty tame, but they are about 5 minutes apart, the Dr wants me to wait a bit before going in, but it looks like I'll be joining the ranks of mummyhood tonight or early tomorrow.

If so you won't hear from me for a few days. if not I'll be checking in again to let you all know it was a false alarm.

    Congratulations MOM
  • Lara,

So did you have that baby yet or what?LOL I hope everything goes smooth for you. It sure is an experience but you will be so proud and happy once it is over when you look into your baby's eye's for the first time.

Let us all know how you both are doing.

  • Thanks for all the good wishes ladies... it seems that yesterday was just a trial run... My water still has not broken, and I'm still home. I am having stronger contractions today, but they are not as consistant as the ones I was having yesterday. It's a little disappointing, but hey... the baby has to come out sooner or later... he/she is just building up the tension to make a grand entrance into the world right?

I will definitely keep everyone posted.

  • Lara Back in the old days when I was having babies that was called false labor. Now I think it is braxton hicks. Always wonder where that name came from. I had them with my 5th baby and they are very much like the real thing. Also 2 of my daughters had them and we made a few trips to hospital as we thought it was real thing. But it won't be much longer. The last few days seem the longest of them all. Just rest up for now
