Non-dairy yogurt recommendations?

  • I've tried a couple and haven't been impressed. Perhaps it's because I've only been off dairy for six days, but there has to be a brand out there that tastes good, right?

    Thanks for any recommendations.
  • Which ones have you tried?

I have heard Wildwood is really good but I've never tried it. I also tried Silk Live! unsweetened plain and liked it a lot mixed with frozen blueberries.
  • I have this problem too. I'm ALLERGIC to milk. not just intolerant...but I can't give up yogurt and cheese---well I can do the soy cheese, that can fix my craving for that.

But yogurt... I've tried silk. I hate it. I can't eat more than 2 spoons full and i'm just disgusted. I don't know what it is. I eat soymilk everything else. I just usually get the real yogurt and deal with the hives.
  • Thanks for the suggestions. I ended up with Nancy's (it's local) plain, but I'm still not happy. The taste is okay, but the texture isn't. I love my Trader Joe's )% Greek yogurt. Nelie, do you know if you can strain soy yogurt to make the consistency of Greek yogurt?
  • I'm not Nelie, but I know that you can strain soy yogurt to make it thicker. It will not be just like Greek yogurt though!

Wildwood is my favorite soy yogurt.

I've tried some rice yogurts and they were just mealy, watery and not good at all.
  • I tried Whole Soy (peach flavor) today and liked it.
  • I've never drained soy yogurt but as SoulBliss said, you should be able to in order to get a nice thick consistency.
