I just found out that a co-worker and friend is in very serious condition with a brain aneurysm. She is in an ambulance being transferred to another hospital for possible surgery tonight. She is in her 30's with two kids and a husband who are very worried and scared. She had been having headaches which have gotten progressively worse, then yesterday had difficulty talking and some numbness. The Dr. said her aneurysm is in a very dangerous spot and she needed to transfer to a major medical center 100 miles away from here. We are all very concerned that she may die or suffer a major brain bleed. Please pray for her. Her name is Jody.

You, Jody and her family have been in my thoughts and prayers since I read this last night at work. Keep your faith strong. We are with you in our thoughts. Let us know what's up.

They did another CT last night. Surgery planned for today. I'm going to my son's graduation today. Co-workers will e-mail updates but I can't check them until tonight. Thank you for all your prayers. Keep up the good work.

They found an aneurysm in one carotid artery and some kind of blockage in the other carotid. Her body was already shunting blood from the blocked side to the aneurysm side causing increased pressure. They went in at 3:30 today and were able to repair the aneurysm with two stents. Took 4-5 hours. They will leave the other defect until a later date since it's not as critical. She was awake and talking to her family tonight. What a blessing. We are all so relieved. If all goes well out of ICU in a couple days and home 3-4 days after that. Please keep her in your prayers yet as she is not out of the woods yet.
