Has anyone had these before? Has anyone heard of them? I just bought some at Costo today, and I'm wondering if they are core. They come in two kinds, fuji apple, and asian pear crisps. Ingredients in fuji apple crisps....100% freeze dried fuji apples. Ingredients in asian pear crisps...100% freeze dried asian pears. There is no added sugar, no preservatives, and each pack is 2 full servings of fruit. They are kind of crunchy, but freeze dried. One pack of the apples (when I check the point value on ww) is zero points(39 calories, 0 fat, 2 fiber), and the asian pears are one point(40 calories, 0 fat, 1 fiber). But I'm wondering if this would be core. What do you think? I tried the apple ones, and they are pretty good. They are actually slices of apples, only they are freeze dried. I know in the core foods, it says dried fruit is not core, but I know any dried fruit I have looked at had all kinds of preservatives and also added sugar. These have neither.
I am wondering if you need to count the apples even if it is not core because if you counted it as points it is 0 points. I would say fresh is better
because we would eat less , but the dried sounds like I good backup for travel ect.
In my ww class one lady was kidding about how 4 crackers were 0 points but 5 were 1 so could she eat 4 ,wait 5 minutes and eat 4 more!! No points!!.
I would think no as dried fruit is not core. Sorry!
Either way, one package of the apple crisps are 0 points, so I still would not have to count it. The pears on the other hand are one point. Funny thing is, the box came with 14 packs of the fuji apples and only 8 packs of the pears.
