Alternative Vegan?

  • Anyone used it? If so thoughts on the recipies inside? Some of the vegan cookbooks are way way too involved for me. I need quick, easy and pretty cheap.

Woo hoo - About three more servings of Kashi cereal and I'll be a full on vegan I was able to give away all my other non-veg stuff but no one would take the cereal!!
  • Never heard of it but looking at Amazon, it does look interesting. If you get it, let me know.

One of my saddest moments was finding that one of my favorite cereals (TJs High Fiber cereal) had whey in it.

I probably will end up getting it. I've had it on hold at the library but doesn't look like it's going to come up anytime soon and I'm impatient!!

I'm very saddened by the cereal - Kashi Go Lean. It has honey in it. It's so good and pretty healthy that I hate to say goodbye

I had the same sad goodbye. I just buy the plainest puffed cereal or flakes I can find, the ones that are just grains and no garbage added. My co-op has a good selection of organic cereals, and the ones that come in a bag are a real bargain. The kamut puffs are my fav. I don't miss the added sugar, I just put fresh fruit on my cerial now. Now I feel a bit silly that I was so attached to the GoLean.

La Dolce Vegan is my current favorite cookbook for quick and easy recipes.
