Eating for Your Body Type

  • A friend of mine was telling me a little about this plan. Has anyone tried it? If you did......did it work and how hard was it to follow?

  • I have heard and read about this somewhere on this site in fact. I believe maybe Oprah did a show on it too but my memory fails me. Maybe if this gets moved up to the top of the page again, someone can reply with some info. Sorry I'm no help.
  • Thanks for replying. I am following it loosely. I didn't lose much but I am not strictly following it either. My friend quite a bit but I think it was giving up the pop more than anything.

If anyone has any experience.......please let me know.

  • Hi!

Well, I'm not of much help to your girls just yet... this is the 1st time I've heard of 'eating for your body type'; but you've got me interested! What's the jist of it?

Maybe I'll do some digging on the internet & get back to ya if I find anything interesting...

    Talk to ya later, ~Kalypso.
  • There are a couple out there (I think) but the one I have is you have to take a test and find out which type you are. The one I showed as being I have to eat the following: Everyone morning 2 eggs and half slice of toast with butter, wait 4 hours then have lunch of 4 ounces of protein (fish or poultry most of the time with red meat a few times a week), one serving of whole grain, 1 cup of skim milk and at least 1 cup of vegetables, you can also have 1 tsp of any clear diet dressing and 1 tsp of butter or diet mayo, wait 6 hours and have supper of 4 ounces of protein, as much vegetables as you want, one serving of whole grain and one cup of skim milk. You are also supposed to drink a cup of raspberry leaf tea with each meal. Fruit is not allowed now but can be added later. There is also a plan to follow every 4th week that is a little more restrictive.

For myself (and my current weight) I think this is too low in calories but I am trying the basic idea and if I have a little extra of something...that is okay. I don't want to starve my body and lose too quickly. I also don't want to end up gaining because I am eating too little. My friend thinks it is great and is going to keep on it.

Just wanted to find out if anyone else had tried it. Thanks for the replies.
