Sports Bras

  • Okay, so the last time I wore a sports bra I was 11, lol. I get pretty good support in my regular bras..but I dont be sweating through all my good bras. Anyhoo..where can I buy a really nice sports bra that wont have my girls moving all around??
  • I like the one I have from Champion, though I don't remember where I got it... Probably any dep't store.
    Good luck with the girls!!
  • Happy Birthday!!
  • lol..thanks
  • I love my Champion ones too, they have some really sweet neon colors at Target!
  • What bra size are you Shopaholic? If you are well-endowed I would stay away from the little compression bras you can buy at Target. They are nice but I found as a DD that they didn't really do very well for anything but a leisurely stroll.

If you are bigger, and need something for more support (and are willing to spend a little bit of money) I suggest Moving Comfort. I can buy them in some stores here in Northern Virginia, but if don't have them in your area you can buy them online. I have found they are the only bras that hold me in and up when doing high impact cardio like running. They cost a bit (about $50 per bra) but I am definitely glad I spent the money to keep the girls up.

If you are smaller or just normal sized in the chest, any bra, Champion for instance, would be good.
  • I'm a 38C..
  • I get the underwire ones at walmart They look like regular bras but very supportive.

  • Thank you for asking this question.
  • lol well i was wearing two bras becuase im an e cup lol 18 e aussie sizes .. which i think for you is 40e? anyway i bought a berlei sports bra for 44.95.. it can be crossed over at the back or left normal.. it certainly tames the girls from trampolining on my chest lol .. I dont know if you get berlei there but its a very good bra..
  • I saw these on Oprah... So its gospel right... LOL..
The guest who was talking about them said to look for a few key things: Thickness, reinforced seams especially in the back, a mesh back, a wide band at the bottom...Before I saw these, I had bought a couple cheapies at Target which are OK, but I'm going to try these next... a little pricey to be 'growing' out of... but look very comfortable...

  • I have to have underwire sports bra with SUPPORT. If I wear a plain ol' sports bra I get the big BOOB roll..lol I HATE that. I have a couple that I will throw on after a shower just to run around in the house at night...but never to the gym or outside...
  • Francie - I second the recommendation for Moving Comfort. I bought the Maja (or was it Freia) style back in the fall and it has been hands down the best fitness purchase I ever made. I bought mine at Academy for about $38, and it shows no signs of wear and tear. I wear it almost everyday and it goes in the washer, but I do air dry it. I started out jogging at a 40DD and would get so sore. This bra is comfortable and is probably the only reason I've be able to move forward with my running.
  • My fav sports bras right now are Instant Shaping Shock Resistant Sport Bra. I get them at JCPenney and they've been on sale for awhile I think.

I love my Moving Comfort capri workout pants though! Best pants EVER, so I bet the bras are excellent also.
  • GREAT topic!

36/D here, and was just looking at bras today for gyming it up. Anybody use Adidas/Nike sports bras and have an opinion??
