Craving Killer

  • When you are craving something what gets you by (if you do get by)

I often crave something either sweet salty or crunchy
for any of those I eat True North Pecan Almond Peanut Clusters
    *have you tried these*

I also go to water and if I crave it through the whole day I will have just a little bit of what I wanted (and usually find it was much better in my mind)
  • After battling a fierce Snickers addiction for as long as I can remember (damn you Halloween!) I still crave them even now. But I've found that I can get by with a Fiber One bar. They're the best tasting not-terrible-for-you bars I've found, and they usually hit the spot.
  • when i'm craving something crunchy i eat celery with peanut butter
  • I get a piece of extra dark chocolate and let it melt sllloooowwwwwlllly in my mouth, when I get chocolate cravings. Roasted salted almonds work well for the crunchy/salty craving. I agree with Drina, though--those Fiber One bars are great!
  • My cravings are always for something salty. I eat one of the 100 calorie snack bags of popcorn.
  • Those fiber one bars are really good...I do agree.
  • I crave crunchy, salty things. I usually eat two big stuffed green olives. I have different kinds...some stuffed with jalapenos and some with garlic. They satisfy that salty crunchy craving.
  • My cravings are usually always sweet - I always have a tub of sorbet in the freezer, and try to keep sugar free candy in my hand bag. On my desk at work I have a fruit bowl so that I will go for fruit before I go for the vending machine!
  • I have a major sweet tooth, so I plan to work it into my day at several points (healthfully!).

For example, I've recently become a huge fan of fat free ricotta cheese mixed with some cocoa powder, splenda, and some orange extract... so very yummy.
  • When I have a craving for something creamy and sweet, I buy a greek yogurt called Fage (they have this at Trader Joe's), which is 0% fat and I think it's 80 calories. I mix in 1 packet of splenda and eat it very slowly. It's amazing. Some people will put some trail mix in there or some strawberries.
  • I just killed my post-workout/PMS craving with a lovely hot snack:

I mixed 1/2 cup natural applesauce with lots of cinnamon and microwaved it for 1 min., then added 1 TB of European style nonfat yogurt and had it with a toasted TJ's crumpet. 170 calories, fat free (had enough fat for lunch today, hubby was cooking ) and soooo goood!

Fage and TJ's brand 0% greek yogurt both have 60 calories per half cup. I use stevia as the sweetener and add any kind of fresh, frozen or dried fruit, but my favorite combination is: 1/2 cup yogurt, 1/2 tbsp. pure cocoa powder, sliced strawberries, and a sprinkle of Kashi GoLean. Total calories under 100, over 10g of protein, and so delicious, like chocolate mousse!
  • I eat ryveta Crackers, 35 ckal per slice or 50g of raisins/apricots. Eat them slowly and they prevent me eating anything more for a good two hours +

I wish I could try this fiber one bars you all love...but I don't think I can buy them here...
