Potatoes not Prozac

  • I started reading this book last night which has been recommended to me several times. It's about sugar addiction and you have all heard me rant about this on more than one occasion. It's written by a psychologist (PhD) who has basically devoted her life to studying addiction and nutrition. I just started the book but so far, definately relating to it and enjoying it. I'm wondering if anyone else has read it or follows this program? There are several on the protein power bulletin board (PP board) who do. The two programs overlap reasonably well.
  • I've read it, I like it, I don't follow it at this time, as eating more that 30 grams of carbohydrates daily can cause really intense craving urges for me.

I used to follow the basic principles though, and did try to balance carbs, proteins and so on when eating. Maintaining stable blood sugar levels is always a goal of mine!
  • I read it about 10yrs ago. I can remember it being one of the first books I found on sugar addiction and what to do about it. I didnt follow it, but I did follow protein power. Another book I had read at about that time was the yeast connection book. This book to me was amazing, and I followed this diet for quite a while, then I got into the low carb.
  • I'm already a protein power follower.
