I hate how the price of fuel affects EVERYTHING. Travel, utilities, food, entertainment... Talk about putting all our eggs in one basket. And it just kills me how we're built society around the automobile. I live on a major route and I can't walk ANYWHERE for fear of being mowed down by some SUV. So for 1/4 mile trips to the grocery store, I have to get in my car and use up fuel instead of burning my own calories which could be helping me lose weight. I see a major connection between our dependence on fuel and the obesity crisis.

Our gas in Nova Scotia just hit $1.28 per litre (that's a quart, gang). In other words we are already over $5.00 a gallon.

About 60 mpg. WOO! I'm sooo excited.

I only paid $3.97 a gallon for 87!...so lucky.....
