I did it as a Wogger! 5K!!!!

  • I feel so very grateful today...not only because I am capable of walk/jogging the entire 5K now (well, 3.3 miles just beyond a 5K but who's counting! ) but because I realized just how many people I have affected in having surgery and losing as much weight as I have...because I joined the YMCA to get the exercise my surgeon wanted me to get in...because my upbeat, outgoing nature has been able to surface again...
...my brother and BIL are having a contest going on who can lose 15lbs first...my daughter, and very obese 10 year old nephew changed their diet...I encouraged my brother and he's wife to take their entire family to the Y and he is running and swimming again after a long time of not working out...they go 4 times a week now and are all feeling successful in changing their lifestyle to be more active...all 4 of us "girls" went and played RACKET BALL!!!

My daughter, though feeling bad about feeling competitive about my weight loss, has lost 10 lbs none the less since February!! We now run together when we work out...I never thought THAT would be a mother/daughter activity!

What a blessing to have had this chance to not only change me and my life but to positively affect my family!

Thank you for being here too, to share in my downs and highs!
