Hello everyone - I've been offline a few days just b/c Real Life has been sooo busy, LOL! So far I'm *only* down about 18 lbs. which is probably good as weight loss goes, but my DH lost a lot faster than that. Not fair! Just can't believe how much better I already feel - the ole' joints aren't as stiff and I can sure bend over better. My clothes may be a teeny bit looser but frankly I can't tell much yet.

We took the dogs for a nice walk yesterday and my legs are SO SORE I can't believe it! I "walk" all the time, but not with eager pooches pulling against the leash, LOL! So guess that's where this ole' lady's famous Exercise Plan needs to seriously begin

Glad to hear y'all are doing well. Isn't it amazing how much life changes in such a short time? Still trying to wrap my brain around that after all these months of waiting and waiting and waiting...

Btw, count me in with the Old as Crap group and a memory to match!

i have been suffering from a stomach virus that my DH gave to me and i passed it to my girls. i go for my next fill tues and i cant wait. i also set up an appointment with the crazy dr who did my pre surgery checkup to talk some stuff out. i figure what the heck since my ins approved 20 visits. i need to the get the reasons for eating out in the open. i also want to get the book that oprah talked about today. it sounded like it will also help me. thanks for wondering bout me.

MistyMed and GrannyRN: Nice to hear from you and I'm sorry you've been sick MM. GrannyRN: I know what you mean about being amazed about how your life has changed. I'm so happy that I can walk, move, bend, etc. I know I'll never have full range on anything, but I can see my feet!!! LOL!!!! You girls on keeping!!! World is wide open from here on.

I'm still here. Busy making portfolios for my two youngest that I homeschool. I have to "prove" to the state of Pa that I actually do homeschool them. I have to put togother a portfolio that is about the size of a Spiegles or Sears catalog....it's alot of paperwork...but don't tell them this .....I like doing it!!!!!

My weightloss has come to a stand still so I am trying my best to stay away from the scale. I know that this is normal (I'm about 5 weeks out) and I've read alot about stalls at this point. I know that it'll kick in again and I'll be just fine.

Thanks for wondering where I was....I'm still here. Sometimes I still just lurk.... you never know when I'm around...LOL!!

HI Nanj How the heck are you? thanks for asking.I have had to cut back my typing for now,having problems with my hand and shoulder doctors orders.

I am doing good.I have alot of things going on in life,for one looking to be moving from where I live,not a great place where I am currently living.

My surgery was jan 14th 2008,and I am down 53 pounds so far,and the inches are flying off,so great,I am so grateful. I have more energy,which feels great.

thanks for asking I miss posting here.Hopefully I can email more,just have to rest this hand and shoulder.

I'm sorry everybody, it's the end of the semester and I'm feverishly trying to get everything done! No classes over the summer though

I'm in my third week, eating "moist" foods. My probem is that I'm paranoid and freak out about everything. I keep thinking my band has slipped or that I'm eating the wrong foods or that my pouch is stretched or I'm drinking to fast! I feel on edge all of the time and I don't know how to "fix it". I'm perfectly fine and healthy, it doesn't even look like I had surgery, my cuts are almost healed, I have not been nauseated, nor have I vomited. I'm a total head case!

So, that's what I've been going through. I've been meaning to post for a while..... everyone here always has a way of making me feel better.

Seabreeze: Sorry about your shoulder and hands. Take care of yourself and do what the doctor says. 53 lbs!! YES!!!
