need another targeted excercise - ankles

  • I have really thin ankles - they look nice, but they're really prone to injury because they're supporting my not-so-thin rest of me. I'm always twisting them or going over on them on uneven ground, or they're just plain sore. I'm finding that they're starting to get sore a lot lately, with me exercising on the elliptical and trying to dance, so I think I need to strengthen them more.

    What specific exercises can I do to beef them up? It has to be something I can do at home. I have no stairs, but I do have hand held weights and a couple of 5 pound strap on leg weights.

  • bopeep, I googled "build ankle strength" and that turned up several sites with what looked like good exercises for building stability in the ankles. Nothing too complicated, and all stuff you could do at home.
