Nervousness has settled In

  • I'm scheduled for surgery this Wednesday March 26th. My stomach has been in total knots today, I don't even want to know what it will feel like tomorrow. It's weird because I thought this day would never come and here it is around the corner and I'm freaking out ! I have read all the literature and watched the videos, I even watched a lap band surgery performed on You Tube, but still I'm nervous
  • You will be in my thoughts! I know everything will be great, and I know your loved ones will be there for you!
  • Hey Florida Girl!
I remember feeling the same way, so all I can do is wish it to come quickly and for it to be over quickly and that you will be like Super Girl with nerves of steel!!

    Will be thinking about you.
  • Aaw! Don't be nervous (easier said than done) focus on all of the positives!
Lots of people (including me) will be thinking about you.
  • WOW its TOMORROW !!!

I wasn't scared until I layed on the operating table and I looked up at the lights.... I remember saying "I Love You Jesus" ..... Next thing I knew I was awake... and wanting a cheese burger b/c I was so hungry LOL hehehe.

Your gonna be just fine... remember the surgery is fast and you'll be home before you know it.

Just make sure you have some GasX - some clear liquids, jello and a prescription for pain when you leave the hospital (which alot of people don't use... I had to). Your gonna do wonderful.

Let us know when your home so we can give you some gentle

    Leenie

  • exciting times! but, you'll be fine. you know that there will be some big changes in your life, but you can handle them!

i KNOW you can handle them. will someone post to let us know how you're doing??? PLEASE???
  • Aw, here's a big <<<HUG>>> for you! I'm one month out tomorrow and I know EXACTLY what you feel like. Take some time to write in a journal. I found that this helped me get a "handle" on what I was feeling. It's a big step and an awsome time in your life. Just relax and enjoy this time....
  • Congrats! You will do wonderful! We will be thinking of you!

Believe me.... I've been through it and I know how you feel. It'll be difficult to get any sleep tonight! Good luck and please give us an update when you get home!
  • Trying to relax...
You are all amazing, thank you for wonderful encouraging words and the support! I will post on Thursday when I've reached the "been there, done that" point to let everyone know how it went.

    to all!
