An Irish Dancer's St. Patrick's Day Goal:

  • Hi Everyone!
    Well, I had a goal of 166.8 by St. Patrick's Day--and I'm 2 lbs off!!! But I couldn't be more pleased that I ACTUALLY LOST 16 lbs!
I also lost 5 inches on my waist, 4 inches on my hips, 1 inch on my arms, and 1.5 inches on my thighs!

This has been about the craziest 3 months I think I have ever experienced... But you know-- my ultimate goal wasn't a number, it was to fit into my dress, and GUESS WHAT?? It fits

    Enjoy the Pictures!
(1st Pic- 185.2, 2nd Pic- Today, 3rd Pic- Me in my Irish Dance Costume!)

    Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

  • Way cool. Are you performing anywhere today?
  • YAY! I was actually looking for you to see if you had met your goal. WTG chick!

  • that is great
  • Hi!
We've been performing all weekend-- We had dress rehearsals Thursday, a school-wide party (over 80 people showed!) Friday, 3 performances (including a parade, the big Irish Week Festival in Seattle, and a half-time show at a Roller Derby!) Saturday, a Retirement home on Sunday, and Finally--we danced on a Cruise Today!!
We're done.. (Thank goodness!) And I can finally relax!!! (until tomorrow when we have classes! )

I'll probably head out to a pub and dance off the Corned Beef and Cabbage I had today

Thanks for the support!!! Shari--It's nice to know someone's keeping tabs!!
  • Wee green you look great!! Keep up the good work!1 Are you studying to be a professional Irish dancer?
  • Thanks!
I'm currently co-owner of a Performance Based Irish Dance Company in Seattle, WA. I had been teaching for 4 years when I merged with another school. I'm working toward my TMRF (which is a "basic" irish dance certification) that will lead to bigger things, eventually!
I'm currently a member of our Irish Dance Company, as well as an instructor for the Junior Company!
I'm also hoping to join a school to try to compete--but that's another goal for later
