Same Title Different Person

  • I don't know how many different ways one can say "I'm New" LOL but I suppose that's one ^

Any ways I am Stephanie a SAHM of curently 7. I am currently 32. I homeschool and am what many call a granola chick, or AKA crunchy. My kids ages are 9, 8, 6, 4, 3, almost 2 and 6mo.

I am a diverser person who loves to chit chat. I am busy, busy, busy, though.

Everytime I start a diet I somehow end up pregnant, LOL We do plan on havng at least one more child, but until then I will be dieting. I've gained too much weight in the last 3 months. Not sure if it is just laziness, weather, or depression. Probably all of the above but for the last couple of days I've wanted to jump back on the wagon and so today I've started.

I'm a carbaholic and the Atkins worked well for me the last time. I will probably do more of a low carb diet like South Beach instead of the full Atkins though.

Exercise in my biggest downfall. When I'd like to do it and when I can do it are 2 different times. I'd like to do it in the afternoon, but DH isn't home then so I really can't with 7 kids. Mornings are the only time I can as DH is home, but right now is when it is the coldest out in the AM.

I think I'll start off slow and work my way up. I'll probably use a lot of my cable's on-demand features that have many exercise options.

I have too much weight too lose, so the sooner I start the better.

    TIA for the warm welcomes.
  • . . . wow 7 kids . . . that is an accomplishment in itself. Anyway, you've definitely taken an important first step on the long bumpy road to better health and fitness by joining us here at 3FC . . . good luck on the journey. I'm pretty sure that posting on the internet has never been a cause of pregnancy. BUT . . . in your case, only time will tell.
  • Stephanie,

    Welcome to 3FC!

We are homeschoolers, also. My ds is 11 y.o. Sounds like you have a good idea of what you want to do. You might check out the Exercise forum for ideas and support for the types of exercise you'd like to do. Plenty of our members have taken a break for pregnancy, then start up again once it's safe to do so.

Have a look around the forums, and post where ever you feel most comfortable. Hope to see you around the forums!
  • Just joined too, hoping to lose 10-15lbs of post pregnancy weight so I don't have to go shopping for clothes for spring because I am too big to fit into my old ones!
  • Thanks again for the warm welcome.

I was actually hoping ot be pregnant by now, but since I'm nursing and my cycles haven't returned I knew it wouldbe a long shot, LOL

If my cycles return by the time Oct/Nov rolls around then I would like to get pergnant by then at least. Ahhh but only time will tell.
