March/April Weight Watcher magazine

  • Once again, lots of good stuff in here! I think the article I liked best is What are you waiting for? on page 128. The author, Melissa Daly, reminds us that life goes on, and doing the things we were waiting to lose weight for first, may actually help us in our weight loss.

First, she says, we need to invest in our looks. (I know I feel better when I get a new hairstyle, or a new outfit, don't you? Even getting a manicure can lift our spirits.) Then she goes on to talk about exercising, planning a vacation, and getting ahead at work.

Is there anything you're waiting to do until you reach your goal weight that maybe you should go ahead and do now?

Which articles did you like best in this issue?
  • Maybe you'll get it today.
  • I saw it this morning at my meeting place... I've never picked up a copy of the magazine, but the article you mentioned sounds very interesting!

There are tons of things I've let my weight hold me back from over the years... Particularly physical and social activities, and especially when those two are combined (physical group activities).

I'm actually about to go off and do something I've spent two years telling myself I shouldn't do til I lost more weight (and here I am 2 years later at a higher weight than I was back then, go figure)... which is to take my bike downtown. Not a huge deal but why wait when I want to do it now?
  • i subscribed to the magazine after buying the january/february issue and then they sent me that issue at the end of last week. i saw the new issue at wal-mart and am still waiting to get it i love the magazine and am fighting the urge to go buy it at wal-mart. i am just hoping it shows up soon!!
  • I got it a couple of days ago but haven't had a chance to look at it yet. I can't wait to read that article!!

YAY for you! How did it go?
  • I guess I've just put off having fun. I've been so self conscious that I get distracted by worrying what I look like. They always creep up at some point. When I lose weight, I don't worry as much, and I allow myself to have more fun - be more outgoing.
Guess I should work on that.
