GOOD MORNING TOPS LADIES!!! RISE AND SHINE!!!
I have been MIA from the daily threads the past few days, but not from the goal on. Just have not had time to do both and reporting into the goal one is making me stay on track.
Things are going fairly well, but just don't have the time to sit alot....other than on the bike....and getting that exercise in is a top priority. I won't be going back to meetings until first meeting in March...just too many things on my plate at the moment. I do miss the meetings, but as we know, there are some people that we need a break from every now and then....and after 8 yrs, it was time.
I thoroughly believe in chapter involvement and that it really helps with our success. Since I have, I feel like I need to be an example....and each chapter is only as good as those that participate.
Sherri, I'm sorry that you are disappointed in the lack of support from your group. They are lacking some great wisdom that you could offer. As I have said before, I think your area needs a POSITIVE chapter and if you have only 3 others, you can start a new one and get more motivation locally. Something to always keep in the back of your mind. See, I told you that if your clothes felt looser, that means you also look smaller. I'm sooooo glad that you are back to counting points.....you know it works for you!!! WOO-HOO for passing on the cake, IC and candy bar. Keep up the GREAT work!!!
Eleni, I smiled when I read that you are doing some exercise everyday. I am forcing myself to do mine too....and I don't like it.....but I KNOW THAT I MUST DO IT to achieve my goals. The weight does not magically disappear and we do have to work [yep, a 4 letter word]. Don't you feel good after you do it knowing that you are one step closer to a healthier body???? I AM SO PROUD OF YOU SIS!!!!
Coco, CONGRATULATIONS - YAHOO - and a BIG WEIGH TO GO with the loss you had last eve. Hope the food that went to your party was sensible. It's nice you got a new member. With her being a transfer, she might have some good ideas she can offer your chapter that her old group did.
Wendy, I'm trying to remember, but I think it is you that wondered about holding an office. If this isn't you, forgive me please. My personal feeling on holding an office. I think it is easier to be leader than coleader. With leader, you do mostly one job....but being coleader, you would need to fill in as leader, secretary or wt. recorder if those members are gone. That was the first office I held, and I had to learn them all. Actually, come to think of it, I learned alot right off the bat, so it really was to my advantage. I do like challanges though and I also have a lot going on at home with my total care disabled daughter. So I understand where you are coming from. This ended up being a release for me to be involved in my TOPS group....I don't get out for anything else. Plus, since I felt like I needed to be an example, I did reach goal. Now, hanging onto it is a real struggle. CONGRATULATIONS on your loss. See another step closer!!!! In regards to the ribbons, your coordinator might have some different things, including ribbons, to be used for various awards. Ours has Best Loser type ribbons and others with various 'positive' type words on them. Some chapters do ribbons alot along with the charms. Check it out.
CC, So you don't know what you're doing???? Must be faking it well so far!!! I know you'll do just fine at your job....and what do you mean forget you????????? NEVER!!!!
You are truly an inspiration and prove that this weight battle can be won. 30 WEEKS and another LOSS....you are REMARKABLE and a wonderful role model.....and pretty soon, a runway model. [whistle, hoot, howl and more whistles].
Christie, Ciecie, Lara and everyone that I am spacing out at the moment......Have a SUPER, OP day...and every little step is one closer to our goals. The pom-poms are back out rooting us onward.......LET"S GO GIRLS!!!!!!{{{{{{{{{{{{{VIBES}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}
TOPS Hugs,
Summer

at myself today. I wasnt even going to post. But then I thougth no. Maybe this is what I need to do. I have had a really bad day of eating. I know I lost 3 1/4 lbs last night, but I probably gained them all back today. I have ate everything I could get my hands on. So I wasn't on plan today. But you know I feel miserable. My stomach hurts. The only good thing I had today was the meatloaf that I fixed for supper. Has anyone else ever have a good lose then splurge? Now I will have to work twice as hard the rest of the week to even stay the same. Sorry to vent girls.
