shhhhh, it's a secret weight loss plan that only I know about.
I ate less and exercised more. Shhhh don't tell anyone. I'm going to make millions off of this idea.
Really, that's all I did. I took a long hard look at myself. I needed to eat less and better and move a lot more. I pretty much just count calories. I log everything I eat (most of the time). I don't have a specific number that I hit daily. Some days are kind of low others higher. I'll go anywhere from 900 to 1500 depends on how the day went. I couldn't stick to one where I was counting down trying to figure out how to get my last two calories in for the day. I just needed to see, on paper, what I was putting into my body. It makes is easier to say no to a cookie when you know you have to write down everything about it.
Since I had a gall bladder attack the day after christmas and another one a month later I've also cut out a lot of fat from my diet. I check all fat grams before I even think about eating anything. I try not to go over 12 grams for any one meal. I do not want to feel that pain again.
I started drinking water. I drink at least 64 oz a day. This really helped with the swelling ankles I had started to get.
I also threw in some exercise. I was really good at first. I walked on my treadmill every day. Over Nov. and Dec. I kind of slacked off and I'm trying to get back into the habit. I try to get at least three days (40 mins each) in for a week. I need to do more but don't always get there. I'm working on it.
That's it really. No big secrets. Just hard work and learning to control myself.
