the way I read forums to best suit my time needs, is to open up the main board and then right click and open in new tab all the threads I wish to read.......then one by one I read & comment......

Well I have noticed that when I do this here I have a 60/40% chance of having to relogin to post a comment on one of the opened threads....

does anyone else use this method to read through the forum?

I use Firefox and have never had this issue prior to this forum on any other forums.

For some reason your cookies are not passing from one page to the next. It could be related to your browser security settings, or possibly your forum cookie is corrupt and needs to be cleared and reset.

I use Firefox, and I don't have this problem. I think Suzanne is right - try clearing everything out, logging back in, and then opening the links in tabs.

I agree with Suzanne and modkittn - I use Firefox and do the exact same thing. No problems here. Clear your cookies, close Firefox and come back in. I'm currently using 2.0.0.11 if that helps. You have upgraded to the 2.0 version of Firefox, correct?

ok testing this out here.....I checked on updates for Firefox I am updated.....2.0.0.12 is my version....I dumped my cookies and reopened hope this works

well it worked that time so hopefully it continues to work time will tell LOL since it wasn't every time I tried to post inside of another tab....weird gliche I guess huh?

OK grrrrrrr its happening again!!!! I keep getting logged out!!! Also on other forums I am on.....when I check the "remember me" box I can log on once and even the next time I get on that page it has me logged in........

does this not work with 3FC? I am sooooooooo frustrated by this!!! I have 3FC setup to have full access in my security settings also so that it can have popups for my msgs and it doesn't do that either!!!! this is sooooooooo very frustrating when I only have a few mins to spend on here and then I can't stay logged in! when I relog in it ALWAYS redirects me to the main page of the forum so then I not only lose my post I just typed out.....I have to remember what thread I was on!!! GRRR its getting to me girls!!! LOL

hmmmm I think I might of fixed my issues!!! sorry I ranted in my earlier post! LOL

I thought for sure it must be 3FC since all other forums I go to have no issues.........but I was wrong I think it was my security settings in my antivirus software!!!! LOL

I set up 3FC's to have fullride and it looks like I am staying logged in now..............hopefully this does the trick! LOL

I use your same method for browsing posts, and haven't ever had a problem. I hope you figured out what's causing it!

ok so I figured it out!!!! JUST in case someone else is having the same issues I wanted to tell you what I did.

I have CA security systems for my antivirus/firewall system

I went into the Firewall section under privacy and then manage sites........

I looked through all the settings and turned on full access and that is keeping the log in information set. I even closed Firefox and opened it a couple of hours later and Im still logged in!!!! YIPPEEE!!!

simple solution.......to what seemed to be a HUGE problem LOL
