I am very much an emotional eater, so this can be tough. But, please be assured, it is very do-able. My best plan is to keep the junk out of my house. When I'm feeling depressed or anxious, my first reaction is to look for the starchy carbs to make myself feel better. Personally, I never felt the need to satisfy myself with fresh veggies.

If the junk isn't in the house, then I can't self medicate with the sugar and I am forced to find other ways of relief.....like a hot bath with a good book, playing free games on Pogo and reading through the posts here on 3FC. I have also started to blog my thoughts, struggles, victories, etc. I've been told that writing this stuff down really helps and I've discovered that it does.
You can do this! Just remember that this is a marathon and not a sprint. This takes a lot of time, committment and tenacity.
