Thankyou Akasha, Gina marie and Malia

  • Thank you all for your replies. It really is special to have people who understand the problems extreme weight causes - both physically and psychologically. I find that most of the people around me have no real idea. At one point I was getting tightness in the chest if I walked only a few hundred yards and my hipbone ached so much it was difficult getting to sleep at night and that’s why I began to get the weight down because I could feel that my body wouldn’t take much more. Most people seem to think it’s all about how you look and fitting into clothes that aren’t X sized. To me it’s to rid the body of pain and have the freedom to live life without being constricted – the rest is a bonus. The damage caused in a physical way by the weight is negative but the lessons learnt and the different outlook on life that it has given me is very positive and something I believe has made me into a more complete person. I felt very moved and the equivalent of a cyber hug from you all as I read your advice.

You have helped me to feel strong and in charge again.

    Thank you
